Do I Need the M2?
Most people that are buying a MacBook Air probably don't need the newer M2 chip if you are just doing basic tasks. The most you can get to make these computers work their best for a long period of time is to get the biggest hard drive you can afford and the most memory that you can afford. Ty, I don't know exactly what you're doing on this thing but it sounds like you don't need fancy graphics or a lot of storage so go with the basic M1. These computers can last a very long time.
