Hayes came up with a horn part that was inspired by Sam Cook's A Change Is Gonna Come. This version had horn parts arranged by Isaac Hayes, who by this point have been elevated to be considered one of the big six-it-stacks records. All the records were now credited as produced by staff, but it was the big six who split the royalties.
