The History of the Shot Clock
The shot clock became official in the 1954-55 season. The old game didn't seem slow to the players, but with this new clock, everything felt rushed. This is audio from the 1955 NBA Finals, known then as Basketball's World Series. It's the first year the clock was instituted.
