The Effects of Mast Cells on the Body
Your body is calling for more histamine. Mast cells are a form of white blood cells. Your genetics have a lot to do with how your body breaks down histamine. If you've had chronic strep or Epstein-Barr infection in the past, those can be good indications that the body has called the mast cells in to actually release histamine and fight off the infection.
