The Power of Persuasion
Linguist John Heritage developed the technique to help diagnose conditions. GPs were being trained to say, is there anything else? But it's a negative word and suggests something gentler. Would you pay for another subscription or I don't know, would you? Well, would you even be prepared to subscribe to the magazine? Okay, but would you be willing to? It's a very, very persuasive technique. So top to use that all the time? If you want to or be on the lookout for it being used against you? Does that work with small children?
