The Lord's Response to the Wrong of the Land Continues in Verse 16
The lord is going to make a distinction between the idolaters and those committing abominations. He will repopulate the land, giving his servants possession of it. The wicked here are told that they will suffer the opposite of this. Their destiny will be so devastating that it will be recalled in curses for generations to come. In places such as the call of abraham, we see the multi fasted importance of blessing.
