The Importance of Playing a Game Like Diplomacy

diplomacy is a game that usually takes about six hours to play. A lot of people really dislike it for this reason, but it is a unique game in that respect. We decided to start with a simplified version of diplomacy where there's no natural language communication just focused on the moves in the game. In poker, you just compute the Nash equilibrium or approximated and you end up achieving CPU performance. If you just train a bot from scratch with no human data into diplomacy, you will not achieve CPU performance.
