Every story that captures our attention has to have names. A nameless story is limited the way it can enliven the human heart because it does not get personal enough. The bible is littered with genealogies, there's 25 of them in the bible over all and ten in genesis alone. Two out of the four go ps, the biographies of the life of jesus, open with a long list of names.
