Is There a Difference in Genetics?

I think at the level of the family or clan extended kin networks that does work. I just don't think it's, the thing is kinship falls off geometrically. So by the time you get out to a tribal population, you've probably lost those effects at that level. But in these kinds of more complex models, defectors are not favored. And in group selection, whether it's genetic or cultural wipes out those things. That's the argument in the case of cultural evolution. It can go relatively fast and it can occur if people copy other groups.
