The End of Polaroid
Polaroid updated its answers section on the website in response to the song's lyrics, explaining that the modern version of their Polaroid film dries behind a clear plastic window. The updated copy read and in fact, shaking or waving can actually damage the image. Rapid movement during development can cause portions of the film that permanently separate or can cause blobs in the picture. A casual shake though, typically doesn't affect it. So hey, obviously resolved in a spike in Polaroid sales, but unfortunately, it was just a temporary reprieve. Polaroid would eventually just continue to sail the original Polaroid cameras and film and declare bankruptcy in 2008.
