Many back office processing businesses have been located in India. There's an education process happening across the Indian population where large numbers of Indians in call centers are talking to people in English usually in the developed world. I was just reading up a few things on Wikipedia today and realizing that 20 years ago or before Wikipedia, I would have had to go to the library and check out a book to learn the inside scoop on the city of London.
