What Is Escalation?

Any kind of disruption becomes either associated with or just named as violence. So that things that we might that seem much more clearly violent, get renamed as something else - self defence, defence of the law, et cetera. But you know, of course, also violence at the hands of white citizens becomes re coded a as not violent at all, but somehow acceptable, or even not sea not sayable.
