Paul's Interpretation of Jesus' Divinity
The striking thing is it's inconsistent with what he says, which is why scholars have thought this passage in Romans 1 isn't his own formulation. His understanding of Christ is a little bit complicated because it appears to be a kind of a combination of both the idea that a person can be human and divine by being. You find this clearly in another passage that scholars have long thought was Paul quoting something but this time it's pretty clear he holds to this one.
