Afghan Refugees in the United States

Massachusetts legislature did a good job, or at least a decent job, regarding these refugees. They were, this was a bi partisan effort. And the state legislature, with by partisans support, for 12 million dollars funding that the six re settlement agencies in the state are using to help newly arrived afghan. Most of our clients have a two year visan. That's going to go very quickly. So we are advocating for the af afghan adjustment act, which would give them permanent status in the united states and a pathway to a green card in the citizenship.
