The History of Bombay
Wellington Fountain was built in 1865 in honor of the Duke of Wellington. It oversaw brisk activity during the months of April and May every year. The city would often be condemned for its high day threats on account of fever and cholera. In 2017, the fountain was restored through a joint initiative by the Greater Mumbai Municipal Corporation & Meinra and Meinra.
