Exfiles was one of the first phandom shows, where people were actively trying to discuss and figure out specificly where the show was going. The pilot led off with like this very explicit, you know, central plot,. And it also had the timing of people kind of getting on to the internet in a social capacity for the first time. So i think fox executives missed something that did not go by the wayside when they didn't see how popular ex Files would be.
