Do You Want Something From Other People?
i find myself wondering in like, such an atomized, alienated culture, what think their obligations are to each other. i have this thought frequently about how we seem to establish bonds with one another but we don't exactly know if that commits us to giving anything to them. And it makes it kind of hard to understand intimacy and the kind of connection in which gift giving would normally happen. The truth is, as that never really happens, because it's not even possible. Like word just can accept everyone as they are. It's a total ethical free for all.
