Alcohol Withdrawals in the Out Patient Setting

Most alcohol withdrawal can and should be managed in an out patient setting. The idea of managing that in the out patient setting is a little bit terrifying to me. If you are actively in moderate, severe withdrawals in my office, i probably would just as soon send you by ambulance to the emergency room im rather than mucking about with trying to get your dazipam started. And then thirdly, psycho social sort of complexity.
