The Church Is Designated Different From Others Without a Paid Clergy

This is in an article by de lamar jensentitled seven ten centuries of christianity. And here's what he says in this article about joseph's early church. In the early church, they got divine help in understanding the word of god. Therefore they did not need a paid ministry. This applies to the leadership of the church as well as the lay members. Without a paid clergy, sounds pretty universal. Sounds pretty all encompassing, doesn't it? i'm having a hard time getting away from the idea that they are intentionally trying to get members to believe that the top leaders of the church don't get paid either.
