How Did You Become a Partner in a Firm?

After graduated from harvard, you went to work at a firm called cleary. Gotleab stein and hamilton is described as an international white shoe law firm. You've since said that you were not a very natural lawyer in a million different ways. How did you envision your life at that point? Well, i mean, this was before i had kids, which made it easier. I really loved it. It's like when you're absorbed into a social world 24 seven, it really does become a hermetically sealed container. And it's very hard to imagine what your life could be like outside of that.
