How to Paint a Watercolor on 140 Pound Paper

Artias: I don't pay any attention to what is labeled transparent or opaque. All of the cadmium colors have the potential to be opaque. Two of my favorite colors, cerulean blue and yellow ochre can be made opaque. But all of the colors that have that potential are also very easy to use transparently. You just add a little bit more water. Artias says no, I felt it was a little more absorbent.
