The Future of Machine Learning

I think I'm preaching about user driven design and understanding product teams because at the beginning when I joined scale, I didn't do this. Machine learning is really powerful when you have good subject matter expertise. Currently, this is realized by either having the machine learning engineer also be a subject matter expert by just learning what's actually happening or having really good communication with those SMEs. But I think the future really should be that the SMEs should be able to develop their own models as well.
