Aristotle and Oligarchy

Oligarchy is a form of government that has its origins in ancient greece. A few powerful people or families keep the power to themselves. These religious figures have the ability to approve or reject laws passed by parliament and decide who can be elected as politicians. For aristotle, oligarchy was the defective or perverted form of aristocracy which he gave his own name to.
