Golam is the work of a jewish artist. She uses fire as a tool to clean out fuel bed at bottom of forest and create new growth. The spanish colonizers were the first to suppress fire amongst indigenous communities. By the nineteenth centuries, the early twentieth century, had established this policy that all ire be suppressed. And in addition to the rise of climate temperatures, the fire suppression has led to this build up of fuel on the grounds of the forests.
