The Importance of Coherence in Curriculum for Wales
The process was designed to address attention between introducing or we can't ever guarantee adherence but trying to bring about more coherence. It's based on the distinction between the conceptual and abstract knowledge and understanding and then skills in terms of once you've applied those, how does that develop over time within particular domains? We have broken it down into domains such as geographical inquiry human geography so students are able to essentially build their schema around these concepts over time across those important transitions from primary to secondary school.
