Why Travel Nurses Can't Unionize?

Travel nurses come across the entire nation, and are contracted through travel companies that work with hospitals. If there's a nursing shortage, they will be open physitions to apply for short-term contracts. Some of em never even worked in a hospital. They don't take vacation, they don't call in sick. And they save the employer a lot of money because they don't have to provide any hospital resources such as health insurance or workers compensation. But when you have more travel nurses at a hospital, that’s less funding that can go to our unions. Sadly.
