The Cry of Cthulhu
The movie was actually called the cry of Cthulhu. The producers were able to raise $7 million in funding, which is equal to the budget for 1979's Rocky II. Despite this, the entire thing was supposed to be shot in Detroit. Unfortunately, according to the film's writer, they ran out of money before they got to production and the whole thing fell apart. In 2016, the author adapted the screenplay into a novel and released it as well as three more sequels. They're all available for sale online.
