Cytopenia - What to Look for on a Physical Exam
When seeing a patient with Cytopenias the first thing I want to understand is the time course. We're looking for a petechii on the legs Predominantly but also bruising or ecomoses anywhere mouth blood blisters are particularly important. So giving broad spectrum Antibiotic coverage when somebody has an infection with neutropenia is tantamount Great. That's very helpful Sarah would you mind giving us a little bit more information about our patient's history as well as their exam findings?
