The Paradox of Monogamy

There's just this like weird paradox of how free you want your partner to be. And then also at the same time, a lot of our kind of conceptions of why we're monogamous doesn't really hold weight in an evolutionary sense. The whole idea that women want a man who will provide them with a lot of resources makes sense in the society that we live in. But up until agricultural times, men and women had a fairly fair share of the resources so there was a specific cultural and social shift where men allocated most of the resources to themselves. So they're trying to break down those sort of problems.
