There was a ninth avenue elevated railroad, im quite right. And but they actually built their own miny railroad, which i like. They had a little working locomotive on a track that would go deep down and the workers would fill it full of dirt and debris id what not. The neighborhood watched as the construction began finally in 19 o eight first the steel skeleton of the structure emerged from the ground. That was the first chance for the neighbors to look and say, holly cow, this thing is going to be enormous. Wel this was, i mean, keep mind, grand central terminal, the one we know now, was not even thought of at this time.
