The Problem With Team Sports

Aaron Donald is going to go down as one of the greatest of all time. The NFL now is a lot better prepared to slow down a guy like that over time than it was in the 1980s and presumably even more so in the 1970s. When you're comparing these all-time greats not only do the stats have to be adjusted for era but you probably also have to change your notion of what was like possible in terms of opposition adjustments. It's just we haven't even considered that there was a guy good enough to make our dude on the left look ridiculous.
