The Importance of Postoperative Management
The temporary clip allows them to get better access, see a little better, make some more dissection without having a lot of bleeding. Be thoughtful about making sure that your ICU colleagues are left with good access and that if you are to leave the patient intubated, that you are leaving them with the tube that's in the right place. These are terrible patients to re-intubate. Well, that's always a bad circumstance. This adds another layer of complexity to it.
