The Importance of Understanding Human Behavior and Motivations

Infants recognize human-like behavior and motivations much better than AI, even in the simplified actions of an animated shape. On average, most infants were able to predict that the actions the shapes were doing were being driven by hidden but consistent goals. The researchers noticed that when infants became fixated on a shape, their eyes would look across the screen to find the object it had been collecting from before.
