All through the book of Jose, I would argue you have prophecies of a future new Exodus. And again and again and again all across the book, as Jose points to future salvation, he points back to the Exodus from Egypt. So right before Jose 11, 1, the immediately preceding verse in Jose 10, 15 is, at dawn, the king of Israel shall be utterly cut off. The nation is going to be killed when they're driven into exile. That's how my mind helps to characterize these things.
