EPOC - What's the Story Behind It?
EPOC is focused on forecasting how AI could play out from now to when it becomes especially transformative. While doing his PhD, I had many side pricks, different like small investigations into different aspects that have to do with my bigger program about technical forecasting. So this effort that started growing, we got like a few publications out there, people started recognizing or labor, other people wanted to join and contribute to the effort. And then later, later I received like an offer to help the Open Philanthropy project with developing their own models of artificial intelligence,. which I did together with also doing that. They also provided with me some funding so I could pursue this side projects that I was involved in
