I think the world bank, for a variety of reasons, has become a far less effective institution a then it could be. And i think the united states a bears very substantial a responsibility for that. The trump administration was almost criminally neglectful of those institute ons. But i think it's important to understand that those institutions do what their shareholders will have them do. They are virtually the only institutions in the world that have a permanently sitting board of directors.
