Psychoanalysis as a Practice Is a Colonial Formation

The social condition is always divorced from the context and what might materially get in the way of people accessing care. There's engagement happening whether or not somebody shows up in your space at the right time, right? I call it a setup because that's like the clinic site is a side of harm when you disavow that the world exists. It also asks people to excise parts of themselves, these social relations, the context in which they live - capitalism, gender, sexuality, ability. You ask people to excise that because those are what constitutes the political world. We're talking about these social and political relations that constitute somebody's being existence.
