The Pitchers Can't Disengage a Third Time.
If you throw over to first base a third time in an apbat and you do not pick off the player, the runner, that runner automatically goes to second base. We're telling our pitchers do not throw a third time. If you don'tthrow a third time, then they can take a 50 step lead. So all this is happening before the pitch is thrown.
