The Imaginary Gas and the Imaginative Match

Rudy Shiner says ideas are the idea of the chairs as real as the chair. I've been thinking about why it should be so that thinking a bad thought about somebody would actually have effects in the world, you know? And how I can work with that without getting into this paranoid state of guarding every thought and making sure it's not terrible or whatever. There are other ways in which I think the imaginary gasoline and imaginary match can be dangerous as well.
