The Importance of Structure in Teaching

In maths, there's no one big idea. If you can structure things around one or two big ideas, just get those big ideas, then that really helps people understand what they should be paying attention to also. So like this idea of hierarchy and tell people like this is the most important thing with emphasis. Then a concrete to abstract.
