The Republic: A Philosophical Defense of Justice
Book seven of Plato's Republic is about the nature of justice. It argues that we should prefer justice to injustice, even under dramatic conditions. The structure of a just city involves three parts, a ruling class if you like, their auxiliaries. And finally, those charged with providing the goods, the material goods, the city depends on for its life. Book eight and nine will be published next year.
