Is It Easier to Talk to People in the USA?
I did have the expectation that people would be always talking about my accent being British because there's this belief that Americans love the British accent. I didn't have that at all. No one said they liked my accent, which was a shame, but maybe I shouldn't be so self-centered. People are very, very chatty and friendly and you can talk to people so easily even like crossing the street. And from what I heard, the East Coast, like the North East area, New England, tend to be a bit colder than say people in the South of the USA.
