I feel like Labour are the least complacent group of people that you could ever come across. I do worry sometimes that that fear is what creates that sort of lack of exciting message they were talking about. They're so scared of losing. And, you know, after the last 13 years, you can understand why that they're not prepared to come out with that more hopeful message. It's good to think it's not in the bag. But the response should not be to do what you're describing. You're saying, we've got to play. Everything's got to play safe now," he said.
