The Difference Between Frames and Wedges

With a wedge, it's okay to have a sharp pointy wedge and kind of like minimize the surface area so that you're not just using your shin as a wedge. But most of the time, no, I don't want to expose my elbow because elbow crossing the center line generally can lead to bad things. Same with exposing your knee. It's okay for wedges, but not a good idea for frames to be doing that. Yeah, or even just opening the closed guard with the knee and the tailbone detail,. which by the way, I've always had problems doing that guard break."
