The corporate equality index was devised in 2002 at the Human Rights Campaign. The score is very useful because it's a part of the S, the social justice part of the ESG score. If you don't have a 100 CEI score, you're not listed as the best place to work. So much so that corporations brag about earning their 100 for the first time.
