The US Military Sector Is Not Going to Shrink Itself
When your livelihood depends on something, it's very common for you to associate what's good for you withwhat's good for society. Sometimes an ideological shift among the public can be so strong that it forces the state to modify its policy. For example, with the marijuana question, not as much with harder drugs. And in response to that, the state has changed its mind. But still that's a change in policy that I don't think anybody in 1970 would have predicted.
