How Long Would It Take to Fly From San Diego Airport to McCord Air Force Base?
Some have suggested that he might have been a pilot, because he recognized tacoma from the air while they were flying over it. But i don't find that persuasive. What i find more significant is the fact that he knew it took 20 minutes to drive from the sea tack airport to mccord air force base. It's certain that he had some previous experience jumping out of planes. At a minimum, that would indicate he'd taken training as a civilian sky diver. Given his aviation and possible military connections, he may well have had parachute training in the military. That doesn't necessarily mean he was a parra trooper, though, and there are some indications he may not have been.
