The Southern Ring Nebula
This is a picture of the nebula called the southern ring nebula, also known as a planetary nebula. Called so because they were mistaken for planets. What we have actually are two stars, one of which is in the process of dying and one of which isn't. Different chemical compositions within the gas cloud and different temperatures of those chemicals are there.
