The Role of Local CDR Startups in the Emergence of Leading States
California is one of the leading states in carbon dioxide removal. The state has set a target to cut 75 megatons of CO2 per year by 2045. New York's CDR leadership act sees procurement of 10,000 tons of CDR and doubling every year for five years. Other states that I think we're giving a shout out are New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, Colorado. They all have respectively developed dedicated CDR policies,. Hopefully they'll join California and New York very soon.
