At the age of 20 leonardo completed his apprenticeship and joined the guild as a painter in his own right. As his reputation spread, he won some important commissions, but he didn't always finish them. By the time he left florence ten years later, there were several law suits against him for uncompleted work. Soneed to say, you know, his mind was taken away from the work to be finished...
